Gang,
 =20
The deadline for DXCC submissions to be included in the 2001 DXCC yearboo=
k is 9/30!
 =20
I have been at every SEDXC meeting for the last year, but unfortunately w=
ill miss the upcoming August meeting and September meeting. I will be in=
Europe from September 4th until about October 6th.
 =20
I will be glad to try to get with any of you that need cards checked. I =
am available some this week through Sunday and then from August 26 throug=
h my departure on September 4th.
 =20
Please call 770-399-0824 or I pickup email daily when here.
 =20
Please review my instructions on the SEDXC web site. =20
 =20
Most common errors that I encounter:
1. Failure to bring Stamped envelope addressed to ARRL DXCC DESK. I mail=
application with my return address on envelope.
 =20
2. Application face sheet not completed properly. ( application face shee=
t at ARRL DXCC Web site http://www.arrl.org/awards/dxcc/ )
 =20
3. Payment to ARRL not computed correctly ( instructions are on applicati=
on form ). You can use personal check or credit card is what I use.
 =20
4. REMEMBER I CAN CHECK ALL CARDS AND BAND SUBMISSIONS ( EXCEPT QSO OVER =
10 YEARS OLD AND 160 METERS ).

The following is a release from the DXCC Desk - NC1L:

DXCC NEWS. Bill Moore, NC1L, DXCC Manager, reminds everyone, "Once again,
the cutoff to be shown in the 2001 yearbook is rapidly approaching. In
order to be shown you must have a submission in between October 1, 2000
and September 30, 2001. If you have not submitted and you are not current
on the DXCC Honor Roll, you will need to make a submission on or by
September 30, 2001. Note, the submission must be in our hands by this
date, not postmarked. In 2001, September 30 is a Sunday, so applications
received in October 1, only, can be credited for September 30. In order
to receive the free copy you must: 1)Be an ARRL member. 2) Be current on
the DXCC Honor Roll (325 current entities) or, if not on the Honor Roll
you must submit an application by September 30, 2001. The yearbook will
be out in the spring of 2002. If you do not qualify for the free copy,
it can be purchased for 5 USD each. Previous editions are available
starting from 1993 for 5 USD each (includes shipping)."
