                 JAY  Mr. William Henry Jay age 80 and Mrs. Helen Mae
Jay age 79 of
                 Douglasville, GA died Saturday, July 21, 2001. Mr. Jay
was a retired pilot
                 with Eastern Airlines, was a retired Lt. Colonel in the
U.S. Air Force, a
                 graduate of University of Georgia and an amateur radio
operator. Mrs. Jay
                 was a graduate of the University of Georgia. She
retired from the Douglas
                 Co. Board of Education as a librarian at Annette Winn
Elementary School.
                 Survivors include son, William "Randy" Jay and Ann Jay,
Douglasville, GA;
                 Mr. Jay's sisters, Jean Warren, Douglasville, GA; Sara
Cartwright,
                 Douglasville, GA. The family will receive friends at
the funeral home on
                 Tuesday, July 24, 2001 from 4-8pm. The funeral service
will be held on
                 Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at 11am at the chapel of
Whitley-Garner at
                 Rosehaven Funeral Home in Douglasville with Dr. Milton
Dwelle officiating.
                 Interment will follow at Sweetwater Baptist Church
Cemetery. In lieu of
                 flowers, family request donations be made to the Boy
Scouts or Girl Scouts
                 of America. Arrangements by Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven
Funeral Home,
                 Douglasville, GA.
