Guys,
Have you have ever looked for a better way to weather proof your coax cables and connectors. I've used various kinds for tape and products like "coax seal." They usually work pretty well but can be messy, and hard to remove. I recently heard about a commercial product that is used by the cable and cellular industry.

- Andrew Type 245174 Cold Shrink Weather Proofing made by 3M
- It is a rubber tube that comes on a form about 2.25 inches in diameter by 7 inches long. The rubber is about 1/16 inch thick.
- You slide the form over the cable and pull a tab to remove the form and create a weather tight seal.
- It collapses to form fit over the cable and connectors.

Although commercial retailers charge up to $40 a piece for these, you can get them for as low as $3 each on eBay. I just bought 10 pieces and bid $3 each from Telecom World Supply on eBay. They are new and in the original package. I did some antenna work this week and it used one to seal the feedline (LMR600 that is terminated in an N type connector) to my 6M yagi.

I've posted a picture of the product on my web page. www.nn4zz.com Scroll down to near the bottom of the page.

Full disclosure - I don't have any interest in the "Telecom World Supply" vendor or the product. I'm only posting because I think it is a great product and currently available at a huge discount.
