 Subject: LATEST ON FJ OPERATION ..

     I  received  this  within   last  half  hour ..

     The  two  ops  of  FJ/OH2AM    did  NOT  have  their  passports
stamped.  This  was realized
       when  the Gendarmes  paid  them a visit at  the op  site.   (
This  after  several  days  of  operating )

      Marti  offered  the hams   the  FT-2000   that  they  were
using.   Marti  wanted a picture
    of the radio  being  given  to  the local  hams.   The  locals
told  him  to  keep  the radio..

     Several  hams  have  contacted me re:  operating  from  FJ.

     I  have  given  them  the very  best  information I  have  and
passed  along  good  tel. #'s  for them  to  contact.

     *** There will be  a JA  group  operating  from the island
during  January 6-20.
      They  made  mention  that  they  plan  to  leave radio (s)  on
the island.

     ***  W5ZPA     is  planning  PSK &  RTTY

      *** Another  group  is planning  to  operate  from  FJ  &
leaving  their  antennas.

     *** Our  own  W2LK  is  making  arrangements to operate  from
there soon  ...

     *** I  have  received  this  information  1st  hand ..
