I may as well put my 2 cents in although I can't make many of the meetings..
Where we are is fine for me as I have finally found the easy back way in.

I far prefer midtown area due to traffic out bound as someone else stated.
We also have all facilities needed at the existing location for AV items.

To all,
I read the October SEDXC bulletin this morning and noted Bob?s comments
about the meeting location. His comments are certainly relevant. Atlanta
and San Francisco are 2nd only to Los Angeles relative to traffic
congestion. Wherever we go there is going to be heavy traffic. The current
location is centrally located for everyone in the Metro area, and the
parking is free. Some of the VERY FIRST SEDXC meetings were held downtown so
it would have a central location. I think it would be appropriate to
continue where we are.
As the sunspots rise from the bottom of the cycle the attendance will likely
increase as it always has in the past. The largest attendance I ever saw was
in the early 1980?s at the Lutheran church on Peachtree Rd. near Lenox
Square. This was during a sunspot maximum.
Those of us who are still working sometimes find it difficult to break away
in time to get to the meetings. Many people have a lot going on. This is
always an issue. Maybe we need to put it to a vote at a meeting. Any
suggestions?

I don't know if this site is available?
But the location where we had W3UR do his talk on VU was very nice.
I believe this is the place where the Chattahoochee Club meets.
The was the biggest crowd I have ever seen in a while at our meetings.
Big variety of places to grab something to eat prior as well.
It may have been unique to the program, but I have not see some of the faces
who attended this meeting downtown since then.
So that would indicate something.
Keith, K4KAL

At that time of day it is easier, and much less traffic, heading inside the
perimiter
towards downtown
vs. outbound.
I would much rather stay where we are now than go anywhere near I-75
northbound
and/or 285.
