Easy to work on 40 CW and SSB. Both my FT-980 tranceivers are down but I
am hoping to pick up a borrowed transceiver soon and use the FT-980 with a
good RX as the outboard receiver. The Ic-740 is just too noisy for low band
work. On 75 (3795) the 3B7 was readable at times (QSX 3775) and he worked a
few stations in NY and FL. On CW the signal was S5 but the Icom has no CW
filter. Won't try 160 but maybe they can break through on 12. Sure wish a
Dxpedition would go there in
Fall or Winter as 3B9C and D68C were easily worked on 75 and 80.

At least I did hear them on CW as well as W2ZM and almost as well as W2ZM
and a K2 in Florida (75). They peaked when N4KG go through on 80 CW.

Probably will work them on 15, 17 and 20 just to test out the little ICOM
but condx are sure stinko even on 20.
