Sorry - what I neglected in my last email is that I am looking for an air variable (not fixed), 500 to 800 pf max, 1.5KV or larger. I plan to place the capacitor in a simple weatherproof enclosure after I tune the air variable for minimum VSWR around the DX window frequencies. Nothing fancy to start with - just to get on the band and get my DX feet wet.
