[SEDXC] What a weekend for the SEDXC !

Wow....great fun. 
     I estimate we had between 25 and 30 SEDXC members  participating in our 
50th Anniversary Celebration Contest this past  weekend.  Signing /50 really 
made us stand out and there were dozens  of  worldwide spots of our members 
along with comments as to our 50th  anniversary.  As Jim K4DLI said, we got lots 
of publicity for our  Club.  Thanks to all !
     Personally, the highlight for me was running  European pileups on 20 and 
40 meters.  CW was the most fun for me.  It  was like the Europeans were 
looking for us, they new what about the contest  and were looking for us. They 
even knew what the exchange was.  
     Don't forget to mark you calendars for the final  event of the year.  
The big 50th Anniversary/Holiday Banquet on Sunday,  Dec. 7th.  Details will be 
forthcoming soon, but mark you calendars  now.  We are hoping to get a large 
number of Old Timers there...
