That is very sad news. Gary, along with Mike and I, put up my first tower with a Yagi back when I was in college.  He was a great man, and even bigger genius behind a soldering iron.  
We always had a lot of fun at ham fests.  He would always buy some old receiver or transmitter, which would have small furry rodents crawling out of it, and somehow restore it to better than new; which he would then insist operating from it when you would stop by his QTH--Amazing...
He will be greatly missed, as we have lost a very fine operator, and even better friend..

I received the sad news via KT4MM and K4DN that one of our members, K4VT, Gary Poorman, is now SK.  All 3 of us have known Gary for many years.  He restored old ham gear from the 30's, 40's and 50's and you will usually see him at all the hamfest selling it.  His prices were always way below the Ebay stuff.  He will be missed.  No info on any funeral plans.
