Sandy was also the license examiner who passed me on Novice some 20+ years ago.? He was very supportive and encouraging to a newbie at the time.

He will be missed.

Thanks to Chaz for the SK report .  Sandy was a big factor behind the GA 
Tech W4AQL operation.  He was also an Assistant Director for a number of 
years attending Hamfests for the ARRL.  This led to his Election as SM and 
later Vice Director.
