[SEDXC] Band Conditions

I am so glad to get home and read these emails, I started off a little bit
late since the site I had chosen to setup at turned out to be closed (sorry
no Quitman county from me) so ended up going with a plan B option and moved
into Stewart county and set up the antennas, jumped on 20m called CQ for
about an hour and maybe made 2 contacts, decided to move down to 40m did a
little better there on SSB made about 10 or so, then when I went to CW god
if the world didn't come crashing down on top of me -- I was in heaven! Only
got about 4 good hours of operating time but put about 115+/- contacts in
the logbook from Stewart County. Considering doing another portable
operation tomorrow if things work out in my favor.

By the way, note to everyone, if you ever decide to go out and setup a
portable station make sure your laptop has all the drivers on it that you
need --- nothing like being out in the rural part of Stewart with no
internet and needing drivers for a USB to Serial cable -- lets just say
Blackberry saved the day AGAIN! ;)

Good luck to all and hope to CU on the bands tomorrow,

Jeremy

Being one of the the "QRP Bad Antenna Class" I have made a total of 22 Qs in
about 2.5 hrs. Mostly on CW. Bands ain't great, that is for sure.
