>From solarcycle24.com:

The first Solar Flux reading on Friday from Penticton was 100.2. The second
reading was 95.5 with the official Flux reading of 96. This is the first
time in Cycle 24 where the Flux had a reading of at least 100. A higher
solar flux is vital to improved band conditions on HF, especially for bands
such as 10/12/15m. The past few days,12m and especially 15m have been quite
active with nice openings between North America and Europe. There was also a
nice JA opening on 17m Thursday night.

By the way, something is showing on the limb of the sun and about to rotate
into view. Check out the left side of the pix on the above site.
