  In the past I restored and sold loads of boat anchor rigs that were 
really heavy.
You have to use extra heavy wall boxes and commercial bubble wrap. I 
never had a
problem with damage as this method works.

They can try to damage them and they will still be protected. The trick 
is to use a large box
with multiple layers of bubble wrap secured by clear packing tape.

I always used Fed-Ex and not UPS!! (OOOPS)
