The biggest hamfest in Georgia, the Stone Mountain Hamfest sponsored by the
Alford Memorial club, starts next Saturday at 8:00 AM. Please come by the
SEDXC booth. We are setting up in a new configuration as are several other
clubs. You'll be able to sit down, chat, and have refreshments. We will
also have HamJam raffle tickets for sale. HamJam will take place on the
Georgia Tech campus, Saturday, November 13, 9AM-12:30 PM. Everyone is
welcome. Admission is free. We need your participation in the raffle to
break even and support our Youth Scholarship Fund. This fund has the goal of
developing new hams-the future of ham radio. You do not have to be present
at HamJam to win. The raffle prizes are a Flex 1500 and a Elecraft K3 100
watt transceiver. The raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. If you are
not able to get to Lawrenceville, you can also buy tickets on-line at
hamjam2010.com and at the HamJam event. At the hamjam2010.com address you
can also read more about HamJam and our three fantastic presenters. Joe
Taylor, K1JT, the weak signal digital guru as well as Nobel Prize winner,
Ward Silver, N0AX, a DXer and technical guru who has written more ARRL
publications than can easily be counted, and Hal Kennedy, N4GG, creator of
the classic Blue Lightning Spark Rig, are the speakers.

Make sure to click the Location link at the above web site. It will show
you exactly where to park near the downtown Varsity and the location of the
event in the Georgia Tech LeCraw Auditorium. Be sure to tell the parking
attendant you are going to HamJam. You will get a greatly discounted
parking rate of $8-otherwise it's $20.

Please visit the SEDXC booth at Lawrenceville next weekend and buy HamJam
raffle tickets. Get details and directions to the Stone Mountain Hamfest
at

www.stonemountainhamfest.com/allpage.php .

HamJam2010 is co-sponsored by NFARL and SEDXC, and all net proceeds go to
youth scholarship funds.
