The young whippersnapper, having invested countless hours and dollars in a
self adjusting yagi that would not adjust, finally decided to climb the hill
and seek the wisdom of the old timer. Upon arriving in the old man's shack,
he hardly had the words "stepper motor" spoken before the old man turned his
attention to the latest Yahoo News story regarding the South China Sea:

According to the news, armed patrolling was increasing around:

The Paracel Islands, claimed by China and by Vietnam

The Spratly Islands, claimed in their entirety by China, Vietnam and Taiwan,
and the most southern tip claimed by Brunei.

Scarborough Shoal, claimed by China and the Philippines.

The novice antenna-wizard's attention, never known to be held on any given
subject for very long anyway, snapped around to the bleak news.

"How are we ever going to get them all worked, if these countries keep
playing chicken with their gunboats," he asked, the look of defeat in his
eyes.

Some questions aren't easily answered, which is as it should be in the realm
of the DX'er. The old man thought for a long time. He finally said, "If
you want to work them all, take your vitamins. It's mostly a question of
living long enough."
