I remember working Stew from Spratley on 15 SSB in 1977 (I think).  I got a 
nice picture card
to submit to DXCC.

My XYL and I sat with Barbara and Stew at a SEDXC Christmas Dinner in the 
late 1970's.  Both families had a young daughter back then

I agree the obit does not speak much to his amateur career..  Hopefully 
someone will send a more detailed obit to ARRL and e-ham.

RIP Stew and sympathy to Barbara and family.
