When the 9M0C group was active from Spratley in the 1990's the best place for us to work them was on 40.  They were loud on CW and decent on SSB.  I remember one night that Val N4RJ and I worked them on 40 SSB via SP.  Using my Cushcraft 40 2 el I worked them first call.  Val worked them too and we both worked them a second time using club calls.  

I noted a number of W4's made it on CW and a few made it on SSB using dipoles and verticals.  I assume all were running High Power.  I scratched out a 80 meter CW QSO but never did hear them well enough on 75 SSB to QSO.  I recall several made the grade on 160 CW but the window to work them there was very short.

DX0P was very weak on 18 CW here the other nite. I think it was about 0130Z SP.
