This Week's Contests:

1. ARRL 10-Meter Contest. 48 hours of Sat/Sun UTC. 10M CW, Phone. 36
hours maximum operating time. Exchange: RS(T) + US state, Canada
province, XE state. Maritime Mobile stations send Region number. DX
stations otherwise send RS(T) + serial #.

2. Straight Key Century Club Week End Sprint (WES). 1200Z Sat to 2400Z
Sun. Use mechanical key only. 160-10M CW. Exchange: RST + SPC + Name
+ SKCC# or "NONE." See rules for bonus points.

3. QRP ARCI Holiday Sprints Homebrew Sprint. 2000-2359Z Sunday 160=10M
CW. Exchange: RST + SPC + ARCI # or power.

4. Colorado QRP Club Colorado Snowshoe Run. 2100-2259Z Sunday. 5W
maximum power. 20M CW only. Exchange: RST + SPC. Bonus points for
QSOs with W0CQC or N0CQC. Call is "CQ SR."

5. 4 States QRP Group Second Sunday Sprint. 0100-0300Z Monday (Sun
night local time). 160-10M CW, SSB. Exchange: RST + SPC + 4S # or
power. Most activity seems to be on 14060, 7122, and 3564 kHz CW.

6. North American QRP CW Club December Sprint. 0130-0330Z Wed (Tuesday
night local date). 20, 40, 80M CW. 5W maximum power. Multiply score
by 2 for hand key and bay 1 1/2 for bug.

7. QRP Fox Hunt 40M. Tuesday night. 0200-0330Z Wed. Two foxes will
be hiding between 7030 and 7050 kHz. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power.
Foxes will be K0DTJ, Brian, CA and KV2X, Tom, NY. Better try to get
Tom first as Brian in CA will likely be in there for a longer time. Long
skip may take Tom out earlier.

8. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night. 100W maximum power. 15, 20, 40,
80, 160M SSB. Exchange: Name and S/P. Mults count per band. Look
around 21325, 14250, 7175, 3800, and 1875 kHz.

9. CW Operators Club. Every Wednesday local date. 1300, 1900, 0300Z.
160-10M. Exchange: Name + CWOps # or SPC. Look around 025 to 045 kHz.

NORTH AMERICAN QSO PARTIES. The National Contest Journal sponsors
semi-annual NAQP contests. They run 1800Z Sat to 0600Z Sun. Exchange
is Name + SPC (or just Name for stations outside NA). CW is Jan 14-15,
2018. SSB is Jan 21-22. RTTY is Feb. 25-26. Deep Dixie Contest Club
and Alabama Contest Group are already getting sign up for their teams. I
will register teams for SECC for these events. Teams are of single op
stations. Tell me which mode(s) you want to be on a team for and if you
will be QRP and about how much of the maximum of ten hours you can
operate. You need not be a member of a club or be inside any
geographical area to be on a team. So, invite your friends to join us.
I know that many of you need to wait until closer to the date to be
sure you can commit the time. But, I will start collecting calls for
the teams now.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and and next week. 73, John, K4BAI.
