I am sorry but since last March I have been out of touch fighting my own battle with colon cancer.  I am sad that Jim K4DLI is SK and I know Ann KB4SSS is in mourning.

I met Jim when we worked around the corner in Interstate Parkway.  This was in late 1981 or early 1982.
Jim helped me rewire an amplifier and correct the arc over in another amplifier. He was a wizard in most repairs plus being smart on antennas.  He designed Quads that Bill Wall KC4UZ (SK) sold at Antenna Mart of Georgia. He built a great half loop for 160 that put out a great signal which was about half the size of the one that Dave W0MHS now W7FB helped several of us put up.  The vacuum variable based tuner was a marvel of design and took all the power that his Amp Supply heavy duty KW++ amp could put out.

Sure wish I could go to the funeral but I am still mostly home bound dealing with the effects of chemo although I have finished the 12th and last round.

As I recall Jim is a member of the SEDXC Hall of Fame. He will be missed.
