Hi Rich, K7SZ
I am Kiyoshi, K4ST (still keeping license of JA0BSL)
I left JA on 1992, so I am not sure whether same rule of Reciprocal
agreement still applicable. So, I would like to introduce you for
contacting one of my friends, Toshi, JA1ELY who is (was?) owner/editor of 59
Magazine in Japan. You may mention my name, so that he recognize me and I
believe he will let you know as much as his knowledge.

Subject: [SEDXC] JA recip licensing
I am planning a trip to Japan in a month (or so). I will be "hopping" on
USAF cargo flights and want to take a small rig with me. It has been over 35
years since I was stationed in Japan and active as KA2AA (Far East Amateur
Radio League, FEARL) licensed via SOFA in Sagami Hara. Things have changed
since Japan started granting true recip licensing and I do not know where I
need to start the process of obtaining a recip JA call sign.
Anyone give me a point in the right direction?
Vy 73 es gud DX!
