This Week's Contests:

1.  Phone Fray.  Every Tuesday local date, 0230-0259Z Wednesday.  15, 
20, 40, 80, 160M SSB.  100W maximum power.  No QSY rule.  Mults count 
per band.  Exhange:  Name + SPC.  Look around 21325, 14250, 7175, 3800, 
and 1875 kHz.

2.  CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests.  Every Wednesday local date.  1300Z, 
1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday UTC date).  160-10M CW.  Exchange:  Name + CWOps 
# or SPC for non-members.  Three separate one hour mini-sprints.  Look 
around 028 to 045 kHz on each band plus up from 1815 kHz on 160M.

3.  NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday night local date, 0145-0215Z 
Friday.  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY.  100W maximum power.  One/one kHz 
QSY rule.  Exchange:  both calls, #, name, SPC.  Look around 080 kHz and 
up from 1803 on 160M.  Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO.

4.  NCCC NS Sprint Ladder.  Thursday night, local date.  0230-0259Z 
Friday.  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW.  100W maximum power.  One/one kHz QSY 
rule.  Exchange:  both calls, #, name, SPC.  Look around 040 kHz and up 
from 1815 kHz.  No same band dupes permitted.

5.  QRP Fox Hunt Fox Extravaganza.  Thursday night local date. 
0100-0230Z Friday.  14050 to 14070 kHz.  Maximum power: 5W.  All of the 
seasons' foxes and members of the committee may call "CQ Fox."  You can 
work any or all of them.  Exchange:  RST, SPC, Name, Power.  Do not spot 
the foxes' frequencies.

6.  Scandinavian Activity Contest, CW.  1200Z Sat to 12000Z Sun.  80-10M 
CW.  Exchange:  RST + serial #.  Work only Scandinavia stations, who 
always turn out in big numbers.

7.  All Africa International DX Contest.  1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 
160-10M CW, SSB, RTTY.  Exchange:  RS(T) + serial #.  Work everybody. 
This is a new contest and there wasn't much activity last year.  Those 
in the contest are usually in Africa.

8.  Iowa QSO Party.  1400Z Sat to 0200Z Sun.  All contest bands CW, Ph, 
Dig.  Exchange:  RS(T) + S/P/DX or IA county.  Suggested frequencies: 
1820 + 40 kHz up on CW.  1805 + 80 kHz up on digital.  1855, 3840, 7210, 
14285, 21330, 28415 on SSB.  Usually not much activity in this one.

9.  New Hampshire QSO Party.  1600Z Sat to 0400Z Sun; 1600-2200Z Sun. 
All contest bands CW/Dig, Ph.  Exchange:  RS(T) + S/P/DX or NH county. 
Suggested frequencies:  1815 + 45 kHz up on CW/Dig.  1875, 3845, 7235, 
14280, 21380, 28390 on phone.  Also usually not much activity.

10.  New Jersey QSO Party.  1600Z Sat to 0359Z Sun; 1400Z-2000Z Sun. 
80-10M CW, Ph.  Exchange:  RS(T) + S/P/DX or NJ county.  Suggested 
frequencies:  CW up 50 kHz.  Phone:  3825, 7190, 14250, 21400, 28400.
This one has seen moderate activity in recent years.

11.  QRP Afield.  160-10M all modes.  Exchange:  RST, SPC, NE QRP# or 
power.  Saturday.  1600-2200Z.  There are usually a few QRP stations QRV 
in this one.

12.  Washington State Salmon Run.  1600Z Sat to 0700Z Sun; 1600-2400Z 
Sunday.  160-2M CW, Ph, Dig.  Exchange:  RS(T) + SPC or WA county. Bonus 
points for one QSO with W7DX per mode.  Suggested frequencies: CW: 1850, 
3550, 7045, 14050, 21050, 28050.  Sponsors don't seem to know much about 
CW frequencies on 160M in small contests.  SSB:  1850, 3925, 7260, 
14280, 21380, 28380.  This is a hugely popular state QSO party and they 
have some nice prizes includiing smoked salmon.

13.  NCJ North American Sprint, RTTY.  80, 40, 20M RTTY.  0000-0400Z 
Sunday (Sat night local date).  Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. 
There is a team competition category.  I will be glad to register a team 
of two to five members if anyone interested will e-mail me soon.

14.  BARTG Sprint 75.  1700Z-2059Z Sunday.  80-10M 75 baud RTTY. 
Exchange:  serial #.

15.  Flying Pigs QRP Club September Run for the Bacon Sprint. 0100-0300Z 
Monday (Sunday night local date).  160-10M CW.  5W maximum power. 
Exchange:  RST, SPC, FP# or power.  Suggested frequencies: 1810, 3560, 
7040, 7103, 14060, 21060, 28060.

16.  144 mHz Fall Sprint.  1900-2300 local time Monday evening.  Two 
meters any mode.  Exchange:  4 character grid square.

17.  Phone Fray.  See #1 above.

18.  CWT.  See #2 above.

19.  NAQCC September Sprint.  0030-0230Z Thursday of next week 
(Wednesday night local date).  5W maximum power.  20, 40, 80M CW. 
Exchange:  RST + SPC + NAQCC# or power.  Double your score for hand key 
and 1 1/2 score for bug.  This is the most popular of the monthly 
two-hour QRP sprints.  Lot of activity and therefore a lot of fun.
