This Week's Contests:

1.  North American QRP CW Club August Sprint.  0030-0230z Wed (Tuesday 
night local date).  20, 40, 80M CW.  5W maximum power.  Exchange:  RST, 
SPC, NAQCC# or power.  Double your score if you use a hand key and 1 1/2 
your score if you use a bug.  There is always a lot of activity in this 
QRP sprint.  Look around 14060, 7030-7046, 3560 kHz.

2.  Phone Fray.  Every Tuesday local date.  0230-0259Z Wed.  15, 20, 40, 
80, 160M SSB.  100W maximum power.  Exchange:  Name + SPC.  Mults count 
per band. This would be a good time to check out your rig and logging 
computer before NAQP SSB on Saturday.  Look around 21325, 14250, 7175, 
3800, and 1875 kHz.

3.  CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests.  Every Wednesday local date.  Three 
separate one-hour mini-sprints.  1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday UTC 
date).  160-10M CW.  Exchange:  Name + CWOps # or SPC.  Look around 
028-046 kHz on each band and lower on 80M.

4.  QRP Fox Hunt.  0100-0230Z Friday (Thursday night local date).  Two 
QRP Foxes will be calling between 14050 and 14070.  They will be K4BAI, 
JOHN, GA and N0UR, JIM, NC.  5W max power. Work only the two foxes and 
do not spot their frequencies.  Exchange:  RST, SPC, Name, Power.  Skip 
from our area to MN should be OK.  Difficult to work close in stations 
on 20M other than locals.

5.  NCCC NS Sprint RTTY.  0145-0215z Fri (Thursday night local date). 
15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY.  Maximum power 100W.  Exchange:  both calls, 
#, name, SPC.  Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO.  Look 
around 080 kHz and up from 1805.

6.  NCCC NS Sprint Ladder.  0230-0259Z Fri (Thursday night local date). 
  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY.  Max power 100W.  Exchange:  both calls, #, 
name, SPC.  No same band dupes permitted.  Look around 040 kHz and up 
from 1815 kHz.

7.  SARTG WW RTTY Conetst.  00-08Z Sat; 16-24Z Sat; 08-16Z Sun.  80-10M 
RTTY.  Exchange:  RST + serial #.  Work everyone once per band.

8.  Russian District Award Contest (RDA).  08Z Sat to 08Z Sun.  160-10M 
CW. SSB.  Exchange:  RS(T) + QSO# or RDA District Code (4 character). 
Work only Russian stations.

9.  Keyman's Club of Japan Contest.  12Z Sat to 12Z Sun.  160-6M CW. 
Exchange:  RST + Continent Code ("NA") or JA prefecture/district code. 
Work only Japanese Stations.

10.  North American QSO Party, SSB.  1800Z Sat to 0559Z Sunday.  160-10M 
SSB.  Maximum time for single ops: 10 hours (with 1/2 hour minimum off 
periods).  100W maximum power.  Exchange:  name + SPC for North American 
statons and only Name for other continent stations.  K4QPL should be QRV 
from Provo as VP5M or VP5/K4QPL.  We will have at least one SECC team. 
Who will join K4BAI and WF4W?  Full time or part time.  You do not have 
to be a member of SECC or within any particular geographical area. 
Invite your friends to join us.  Let me know ASAP and I will register 
the team(s) before the start of the contest and send out a copy of the 
registration.

11.  CVA DX Contest, CW.  2100Z Sat to 2100Z Sun.  80-10M CW.  Exchange: 
  RST + type.  Types are DX, QRP, MIL, YL, HQ, and TEEN or Federal Unit 
Code for Brazilian stations.

12.  South African Radio League HF Digital Contest.  1400-1700Z Sunday. 
  80, 40, 20M PSK and RTTY.  Exchange:  RST + serial #.  Work only ZR/ZS 
stations.

13.  ARRL Rookie Round Up RTTY.  1800-2359Z Sunday.  80-6M RTTY.  100W 
maximum power.  Exchange:  Name + 2 digit year first licensed + S/P/XE 
District or "DX."  Work only rookies.

14.  Flying Pigs Run for the Bacon QRP Contest.  0100-0300Z Monday 
(Sunday night local date).  160-10M CW.  5W max power.  Exchange:  RST + 
SPC + FP# or power.

15.  Straight Key Century Club Week Day Sprint.  0000-0200Z Wednesday 
August 22 (Tuesday night local date).  160-10M CW.  Use a mechanical
