I have been doing business with Ack Radio since around 1970... It was
started by Everett Atkerson (W4ECI) in Birmingham in the 1940's. His son
Tommy (W4RRW) opened up a store on Lucky St. in Atlanta in the late
1950's. The grandson (Steve) took over the business when Tommy passed
away in August of 1998. Steve was not a ham.

W4ECI was one of the QSL managers for Gus Browning, W4BPD, and and a big
DXer. He had a big Telrex 20 meter monobander on a tower on a mountain
in Birmingham,  AL.

73,

John, W4NU

K4JAG (1959 to 1998)
