1. SKCC Week Day Sprint. 0000-0200Z Wed (Tues night local date).
160-10M CW. Use mechanical key. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, SPC.
2. NAQCC 160M Sprint. 0130-0330Z Wed (Tues night local date). 160M
CW. 5W maximum power. Exchange: RST, SPC, NAQCC# or power. Double
your score for using a hand key and 1 1/2 times your score for using a
bug. Look around 1807 to 1820 kHz.
3. QRP Fox Hunt. 40M. 0200-0330Z Wed (Tues night local date). Two
foxes (K5IX, DAVE, TX and KR0U, TIM CO) will be hiding between 7030 and
7050 kHz. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. Work only the two foxes
and do not spot their frequencies.
4. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday. 0230-0259Z Wednesday UTC date. 15, 20,
40, 80, 160M SSB. Exchange: Name + SPC. Mults count per band. Look
around 21325, 14250, 7175, 3800, and 1875 kHz. 100W maximum power. No
QSY rule.
5. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday. Three separate
one-hour mini-tests. 1300Z, 1900Z, and 0300Z (Thursday UCT date).
Exchange: Name + CWOps # or SPC. 160-10M CW. Look around 028 to 045
kHz on each band and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.
6. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday night, 0145-0215Z Friday UTC date.
100W maximum power. One/one kHz QSY rule. Exchange: both calls, #,
name, SPC. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. Look around 080 kHz and up from
1803 kHz. Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO.
7. NCCC NS Sprint. Every Thursday night. 0230-0259Z Friday. 100W
maximum power. One/one kHz QSY rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name,
SPC. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. Look around 040 kHz and up from 1815
kHz. No same band dupes permitted.
8. CQ World Wide 160 Meter Contest, CW. This is the big 160M contest
of the year. 2200Z Fri to 2200Z Sun. maximum time of 30 hours for
single ops. 160M CW. Exchange: RST + S/P or CQ Zone for stations
outside US and VE. There is a club aggregate score compeition.
9. Montana QSO Party. 0000-2400Z Saturday. 160M to 70cm. CW, Ph,
Dig. Exchange: RS(T) + S/P/DX or MT county. There are power
multipliers in this one.
10: REF (France) CW Contest. 0600Z Sat to 1800Z Sun. 80-10M CW.
Exchange: RST + Serial # or French Dept number or prefix for
possessions. Work only French station and French possession stations.
11. BARTG RTTY Sprint. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 80-10M RTTY. Exchange:
serial # only. Work everyone.
12. UBA (Belgium) DX Contest, SSB. 1300Z Sat to 1300Z Sun. 80-10M
SSB. Exchange: RS + serial # or ON province. Work everyone.
13. Winter Field Day. 1900Z Sat to 1900Z Sun. All bands except WARC
and any mode. Exchange: # of transmitters, Category, ARRL section or
"DX." This contest has been around for a long time and has been gaining
in popularity in recent years. The Columbus Amateur Radio Club, W4CVY,
is planning an operation in the field for this one.
14. QRP Fox Hunt. Same foxes and same rules as for #3 above except
that the frequency range is 3550 to 3570 kHz.
15. Phone Fray. See #4 above.
16. CWTs. See #5 above.
