Dave,

It seems the pompous heads In Newington don’t need or want any advice. I’m sorry you felt compelled to tender your resignation, but I completely understand. Let’s hope the ship is righted soon.

All (leaked) reports from the gathering last week point to a seeming epiphany that the title “Director” does not mean they direct the Hams in their Divisions as to how things should be, but rather they were elected by their constituents to direct the league.

Maybe in time you will once again be wise and wanted for your expertise on DXCC matters.

Hello gang,

I have had some progress as the tower is up and ready for the beams. I have one more set of CT scans to make sure I am cancer free. I did develop a pinched nerve that causes my sciatic nerve to act up in my right leg and started treatment for that this week. I was lucky in winning the IC-7300 from Giga Parts last October. Great little rig (it is lisle). It is really a Software Defined Radio in a box. Allows you to do most digital stuff without needing an interface.

I was upset with ARRL approving IARU membership for DXCC criteria thus adding Kosovo to the DXCC list without consulting DXAC so I resigned as SE Division DXAC today right after Gary W5FI the DXAC chair resigned. Since I became DXAC in January 2010 our recommendations have been ignored and I determined being the DXAC person for the SE Division was not worth the time we put in.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a good start to 2018.
