Many of the contest stations are in FT8 Contest mode. If you try to call them in normal mode things don’t work out. You have to check at the bottom of you control screen for WSJT, NA VHF Contest. Then click Generate Std Messages and you are ready. If you don’t see the NA VHF Contest box at the bottom, go to Settings, General, and Enable VHF/UHF/Microwave features. Click OK. If doesn’t bring it up cycle the Enable VHF/UHF box and get out then back in. Eventually you can leave the Enable VHF/UHF box enabled. You should eventually get the NA VHF Box on the main screen. If you want go back to normal mode, uncheck NA and Generate Std messages. You should be able to toggle back and forth but generating new Std Messages each time.

I hate this contest mode as often it is hard to tell which mode someone is in. They send a grid square on CQ but if is a goofy one in contest mode.

No EU to speak of. Around lunch some IK stations were in but poor prop. Later afternoon prop to the south, PJ4, HK, V31, HC5, TG9, FM5, XE, CO, and for you grid hunters EL84 from K4T in the Dry Tortugas. 73 Mike
