This is probably on the KH1 website but thought I would throw this out.
Just got off the phone with Rick, N4HU in Fiji. They have the boat
loaded with all the equipment, several tons of it. The boat will be
leaving and going to American Samoa. Should take about 4 days to get
there. Rick and the guys will be flying to Western Samoa first and then
on to American Samoa to meet the boat. You may be wondering why they
had to do this but I will leave that for the program that Rick will
hopefully give us at a club meeting. He said everything is going
according to plan right now.

Once they depart American Samoa on the boat it should take about 4 1/2
days to get to KH1. He said the tracking program should be up and
running on the KH1 website so you can track the boat. Rick said he
would call before they left American Samoa heading out of port.

This should be a good one although not at the time of year they would
have liked but Fish and Wildlife gave them the time frame they had to
abide by. I have heard that Fish and Wildlife is going to limit the
time between operations on American island they control. I want to
recall something like 12 years between trips but I may be speaking out
of turn so Rick can give us an update on that. That being said you
don't want to miss it on any band or mode you might need. When I hear
from him again I will pass along any date. The KH1 website should be
getting updated regularly.
