Another wild crazy day on 6 M.  Around 8 AM 4X4 decoded here. KX4R was
copying A92 good.  I never heard the A92.  I then started copying 9K
stations.  Also in EA8, I , 9A, OE, DK and SV..   All of it came to an
end around 10:30 local.  I heard 3 different 9K station from 8 to around
10:15.  They seemed to be wrapped in EU.

I had to be away from the house running some errands and then in the
afternoon did RFI noise tracking for a couple of hours so did not see if
there was anything but dont think there was.

I got home around 4:15 and the band was wide open to western EU..  KX4R
said it opened around 3:45.  I mean strong.  313 was saturated so moved
to 323 and it was full of EU.  HB9, ON, EI, G, PA,EI, LX, GM, GJ, GI,
CU, EA8, TK5, SV9, CT, CU.  Everyone was behaving themselves with all of
EU on Even and USA on Odd.

Somewhere around 5 pm there was a TF spotted on 50110 SSB in a grid I
needed.  He was pounding in here.  He was stronger than the pileup.  I
could not figure out his heading.  KX4R said there were 6 TF on 313 and
looked like they were coming from 85 deg.  With my noise I just put my
beam on 45 to stay away from the normal 30 deg heading.  I ended up with
7 TF stations.  If you ever needed TF today was the day.  Never seen
that many at one time ever.  They were coming some weird path.  TF is
something you dont see in here everyday.

After 6:30 the JA were trying to come through.  With my bad noise the JA
path is tough this year.  KX4R started decoding BA4SI.  He called for a
while but no luck.  Many were calling but not getting through.  I think
BA4SI lives in a city area and has noise like me.  A few years ago N3XX
here locally worked BA4SI on CW.  That was a feat.

Just for non DX info USA to USA has been staying open past midnight.

A quiet antenna location is worth its weight in gold for a DXer. You
gotta hear em to work em.  Plus spend more money on the antenna and
tower than the rig.  73 Mike
