Normally, when keying with the right hand the thumb (left paddle) does dits and the finger (right paddle) is dah.

Subject: [SEDXC] Keying “handedness”

Hello, my name is Scott, and I am a southpaw. (Group: “Hello Scott!”)

At some point in my CW past I keyed with my left hand, and then I switched to my right so that I could write with my left. Along the way, somewhere I recall switching the dots and dashes to be reversed. I’m not sure if I’m still “backwards” or not, so I ask if the group, which is the correct emission from “the thumb” (left or right), dots or dashes?

I think I may be using a left-handed oriented keying configuration with my right hand which would hold to my “do it the hardest way possible” life motto.
