[SEDXC] Claimed Scores, Last Week's Contests; This Week's Contests

Just curious.  Why do virtually none of the many DXers in the SEDXC 
report scores in DX contests to 3830?  I will include any I know of.  If 
you don't want to report on 3830, send scores directly to me.  Thanks.

This Week's Contests:

1.  40 QRP Fox Hunt.  0100-0230Z (note change in UTC times) Wednesday 
(Tuesday local date).  Two QRP Foxes will be calling between 7030 and 
7050 kHz.  5W max power.  Work only the two foxes and do not spot their 
frequencies.  They will start off split listening UP and then most go to 
simplex when the pile up dies down.  Exchange:  RST, SPC, Name, Power. 
Foxes this week are K0DTJ Brian, CA and NR3Z Marty, MD.

2.  Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night local date.  0230-0259Z Wed.  15, 
20, 40, 80, 160M SSB.  100W max power.  Exchange:  Name + SPC.  No QSY 
rule.  Mults count per band.  Try around 21325, 14250, 7175, 3800, and 
1875 kHz.

3.  CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests.  Every Wednesday.  Three separate 
one-hour mini-tests.  1300Z, 1900Z, and 0300Z (Thursday UTC date). 
160-10M CW.  Exchange:  Name + CWOps# or SPC.  Look around 027-058 kHz 
on the higher bands and lower on 160M.

4.  80M QRP Fox Hunt.  0100-0230Z Friday (Thursday night local date). 
Same as #1 above and the foxes are the same.  The frequency range is 
between 3550 and 3570 kHz.

5.  NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Friday 0145-0215Z (Thursday night local 
date).  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY.  100W maximum power. Exchange:  both 
calls, #, name, SPC.  Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO. Look 
around 080 kHz on the higher bands and up from 1805 kHz on 160M.

6.  NCCC NS Sprint.  Every Friday 0230-0259Z (Thursday night local 
date).  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW.  100W maximum power. Exchange:  both 
calls, #, name, SPC.  No same band dupes permitted.  Look around 040 kHz 
on the higher bands and lower on 160M.

7.  BARTG HF RTTY Contest.  0200Z Sat to 0200Z Mon.  30 hours maximum 
time for single ops.  80-10M RTTY.  Exchange:  RST + Serial # + 4 digit 
time UTC.  Work everyone.

8.  Russian DX Contest.  1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun.  160-10M CW, SSB. 
Exchange:  RS(T) + serial # or Russian 2 letter oblast abbreviation. 
This is one of the big world wide DX contests.  Work everyone.

9.  Louisiana QSO Party.  1400Z Sat to 0200Z Sun.  160-2M, CW/Dig, Ph. 
Exchange:  RS(T) + SPC or LA Parish.

10.  Virginia QSO Party.  1400Z Sat to 0400Z Sun; 1200-2400Z Sun.  All 
bands except the WARC bands.  CW, Ph, Dig.  Exchange:  serial # + S/P/DX 
or VA county/city abbreviation.

11.  Feld Hell Sprint.  2000-2159Z Sat.  160-10M Feld Hell.  Max power 
100W.  Exchange:  RST + FH# + SPC + GRID.  (Number of digits not 
specified--I assume four.)

12  Flying Pigs QRP Club March Run for the Bacon.  0100-0300Z Monday 
(Sunday night local date).  160-10M CW.  5W max power.  Exchange:  RST + 
SPC + FP# or power.

Next Wednesday local date will be the monthly NAQCC QRP Sprint.  I'll 
give the details in next week's report.
