This Week's Contests:
1. QRP Fox Hunt 40M. Tuesday night local date, 0100-0230Z Wed. Two
QRP foxes will be calling between 7030 and 7050 kHz. 5W max power.
Exchange: RST, Name, SPC, Power. Work only the two foxes and do not
spot their frequencies. Foxes are N9AW, JERRY, WI and N1IX, DAVE, NH.
2. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night local date. 0230-0259Z Wed. 15,
20, 40, 80, 160M SSB. 100W max power. Exchange: Name + SPC. Use the
NAQP SSB module in your logger. Mults count per band. Look around
21325, 14250, 7175, 3800, and 1875 kHz.
3. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday. Three separate
one-hour mini-tests. 1300Z, 1900Z, and 0300Z (Thursday UTC date).
160-10M CW. Exchange: Name + CWOps# or power. Look around 027 to 047
kHz and below 1835 kHz on 160M.
4. North American QRP CW Club March Sprint. 0030-0230Z Thurs (Wed
night local date). 20, 40, 80M CW. 5W max power. Exchang: RST + SPC
+ NAQCC# or power. Multiply your score by 2 for using a hand key and by
1 1/2 for using a bug. This is a very popular QRP CW Sprint.
5. QRP Fox Hunt 80M. Thursday night local date. Same as #1 above with
the same two foxes, but the frequency range is 3550 to 3570 kHz.
6. NCCC RTTY Sprint. 0145Z to 0215Z Friday (Thursday night local
date). 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W max power. Exchange: both
calls, #, name, SPC. one/one kHz QSY rule. Look around 080 kHz and up
from 1805 kHz on 160M. Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO.
7. NCCC NS Sprint. 0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday night local date). 15,
20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W max power. Exchange: both calls, #, name,
SPC. One/one kHz QSY rule. Look around 040 kHz and up from 1815 kHz on
160M. No same band dupes permitted.
8. FOC Bill Windle QSO Party. Saturday 24 hours UTC. 160-VHF CW.
Exchange: RST + Name + FOC# if you have one. This one is open to all
participants, but non members should work only FOC members. The call is
either CQ FOC or CQ BW.
9. UK/EI DX Contest, CW. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 80-10M CW. Exchange:
RST + serial # + UK/DE District Code. Work only UK and Irish stations.
10. North American Sprint SSB. 0000-0400Z Sun (Sat night local date).
20, 40, 80M SSB. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Work everyone.
There is a team competition for teams of two to five members. Please
let me know ASAP if you want to be on a team and I will register the
team(s) before the sprint starts.
11. Straight Key Century Club March Week Day Sprint. Next Tuesday
local date, 0000-0200Z next Wednesday. 160-10M CW. Exchange: RST +
SPC + Name + SKCC# or "NONE." Use a mechanical key. Bonus station is
K8PRG.
12. QRP Fox Hunt 40M next Tuesday. Same as #1 above except the foxes
are N4FP WAYNE FL and N7CQR DAN OR.
13. QRP Fox Hunt 80M Thursday of next week. Same as #5 above except
the two foxes are N4TMM, JIM, GA and K4BAI, JOHN, GA. Jim and I have a
disagreement about who will probably work more hounds with each of us
thinking it will be the other. So please get on and work both foxes.
