GAQP results for a "Cured" Ham,....er....Hamoholic. Conditions were poor but it was nice to hear a lot of OLD calls. I know thqt doesnt sound good but you(and I) ARE old! Took 4 hours to download NA and get it going but then found out it didnt have a Keyer in the demo version. My second J-#* hand Key Qso was luckily NF4A who got me a copy of NA and helped me via 3 phone calls to get up and running. Rig: Less than 100W to a 40M dipole which I could reach up and touch from the ground. Since Condx were rough, and I was low power, I couldn't make a good dent in the bands expecially 20. 15 was dead. 80 was workable with a Nye-Viking Tuner in the line. Lightning and Rain Static ensued about 2 hours after I got on the air, shut down until about 11PM. I did have a good run for an hour or so. Didn't work much Sunday, Just in and out while I practiced being a GOOD Husband and Neighbor. Thanks to all who dug me out of the noise. Results: SO Low Power and a wire dipole. CW. Did give out a few SSB QSOs tho. Not counted in Final Score. 281 Qsos 41 Mults 23,042 Points I sent a similar message to SECC but it bounced. Hope every Rover had a Safe and Successful Trip. Didn't work many, Guess due to the skip on 40. They were always weak for me here. Only heard N4PN/M 3 or 4 times and cant remember if I heard or worked K4BAI. Anyway, lots of fun and nice to hear and QSO some friends. 73 Val N4RJ P.S. SSSHHhhhhhhhhh....Im in a restricted neighborhood.
