Well...I saw that cover of September CQ with Bill's face on the front
today. I didn't realize until I went back later and looked at it that
the other cover photo was the shack and yard at Bill's place - I didn't
read the caption or look at the picture the first time I picked it up.

Many a time I drove up the driveway just to the right of that tower and
parked in front of the shack for contests or to help Bill with some
crucial non-contest activity.  "Crucial" like stringing up radials for
an hour followed by two hours of Mexican food, Coca-Cola and BSing
about contesting... :-)

Alas, Bill, Sprints won't be the same without you!

To the business at hand, 

Sign up now for the Southeast Sprint Coalition teams for the CW Sprint
the night of September 11th.  Tree N6TR asked for a voluntary one
minute silence at the beginning of the Sprint at 0000Z as a tribute to
Bill as well.  It was Bill's idea to form the SSC and he named it as
well - and we should continue onward.
