How do auditors handle constipation problems?

They work it out with a pencil!!!!

Boy were condx weird or WHAT - talk about goin' long early! What was
weird was several hours in I would go back to twenty and find a 40 over
KW8N or N2NT - but everyone had dropped down to 40, etc....

There musta been one helluva snow storm out in the heartland I hardly
worked ANY zero's - a few Minnesotans, but missed usually duck soup
Kansas, and NE, ND and SD

Only really cool thing was about a half hour into the contest my
Grandson came into the shack for one of three trips in to check out what
I was doing... the first time I put it on the speaker and he was
strangely interested... he said "so this is like a competition? Cool!"

The second time he came in I had a second set of cans wired in for him
to put on...

By the third trip in he asked "do you have a book about the code"

YES!!!!!!!!

He and his family leave for Germany shortly, Dad has been training in
the Army and is headed off to be a satellite comm.s guy - so - he is
even speaking my language a little... he talked about the amount of
attenuation they have to have on those signals due to their being so
focused they apparently are almost like lasers!

SO...despite the sucky performance -

271 X 47 = 12,737

it was a really fun contest... seeing my grandson's eyes light up is
cool... I hope he keeps being interested - there are a lot of competing
interests here - ex: he has a Yugi-Oh tournament tomorrow...

Hopefully he will crack open the ARRL handbook I gave him and mebbe it
will spark something,,, he is only in fourth grade but it is never too
early to plant them seeds, right?

RE: Surgery - I was scheduled to go in on Monday, but they have pushed
me back a week....

I am getting a new heart valve... actually it is a "cow-valve" - no bull!

The name I used tonight was:

Elmer

For those who have ever used white glue, you may have used Elmer's -
which has Elsie the Borden cow's boyfriend Elmer on it... other
suggestions came to mind such as Toro and Dogie and Cowpoke, etc but -
the "double entendre" of Elmer fit me and you know what

IT WAS THE WORST NAME I HAVE EVER PICKED! I MUST HAVE HAD 50 REQUESTS
FOR A REPEAT!!!!!

Arrrgh... mebbe it is time to change my name to Ed or Al or....

Later!
