Team Score: Southeast Sprint Coalition: 46,637 + N4XFA.
Thanks to all who stepped up to help us field a 10-man team. N4XFA was
QRV, but hasn't posted his score yet. This score would place us in #1
position among the scores reported to 3830 so far, but it is likely that
we will drop a position or more when all the scores are in. Good job!

Fred's (WW4LL) score is a new all-time high claimed score for that
category (by a wide margin). Congratulations!

This week's Contests:
1. NCCC Thursday Practices. The usual. Slow Speed 0200-0215Z Friday.
100W and 22 WPM Maximum. 40-80M CW. Exchange: Both calls, #, name,
SPC. Dupes OK after band change or one intervening QSO. 0230-0259Z.
Regular NS rules. 100W maximum. 160, 80, 40M. Exchange: both calls,
#, name, SPC. Dupes OK after band change or one intervening QSO.
2. 40M QRP Fox Hunt. 0200-0330Z Friday. 7030-7050 kHz CW. Two Foxes
will be hiding there. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. Maximum 5W.
Work only the two foxes.
3. ARRL DX Contest, CW. 48 hours of Sat and Sunday UTC. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: RST + state or province. DX stations send RST + power. Work
all DX stations, including KL7 and KH6, but do not work other USA and
Canada. Club aggregate score competition. Show your club spelled out
to be recognized by the contest robot.
4. High Speed Club (HSC) Contest. 09-11Z, 15-17Z Sunday. 80-10M CW.
Exchange: RST + HSC# or NM. This does not usually conflict with ARRL DX
and is the result of having only three full two-day weekends this month.
I can't believe there will be much activity outside HSC stations in
Europe. However, if you run across a station giving a long number
instead of power, maybe you can get him to tell you his power and you
can send 599 GA "NM" for nonmember.
5. 80M QRP FoxHunt. Tuesday night local, 0200-0330Z Wednesday. Same
rules as for the Thursday night 40M QRP FoxHunt. The frequencies are
3550-3570.
Hope everyone has worked K5D on some needed bands/modes. I do not have
that country confirmed on 160M at all and on 75, 17, and 12 SSB. I have
worked K5D on 160 CW and SSB. I have called and listened without result
so far on 75. Many times they are not listening above 3800. I haven't
heard them on 17 and 12 yet due to my work hours. Probably, I'd best
check those bands this weekend during the ARRL DX Contest. I assume
they will be very QRV on the WARC bands this weekend. I have also
worked them on 80, 40, and 30 CW in the last 18 hours when they were
looking for QSOs.
Hope everyone has a good week and a lot of QSOs. I will miss my beam
this weekend! 73, John, K4BAI.
