There will be a lot of mobile and portable operations and we hope,
once again this year, to have all 159 GA counties active during the
weekend. KU8E and K4BAI will be QRV as W4AN/M to include some NPOTA
counters. W0BH, K0WHY, N6MU, and N4PN will be QRV in an effort to
operate from more counties than anyone ever has before (to beat the old
record held by the same ops except N6MU). W5JR will be mobile. I am
not sure if N4I/M is the same as W5JR. From out of state also, we
expect KN4Y, W3DYA, K4ZGB, AD4EB and possibly others. KB4KBS/M should
be QRV in counties near Augusta. I am sure I have overlooked some that
I know about and I hope there are others that I don't know about. There
is a county activity page on the GQP website (look under the button for
2016 GQP on the left side of the page). NY4N, Jeff, said that he might
be QRV, but I haven't got a definite YES from him yet. Any way, hope
you all can be QRV to the extent possible this weekend in GQP.
Out-of-state stations work only GA stations. Every mobile or rover is a
different station in each county. If you plan to be QRV and want to be
listed on the county activation page on the website, please let WA4ZXV
know about it ASAP. Lots of plaques and certificates for all three
power levels and for CW, Phone, and Mixed Modes.
12. Yuri Gagarin International DX Contest. 2100Z Sat to 2100Z Sun.
160-10M + satellites, CW. Exchange: RST + ITU Zone. Work everyone.
13. 144 mHz Sprint Sprint. 2 meters any mode. Exchange: 4 character
grid square. 1900-2300 local time Monday evening.
14. North American QRP CW Club April Sprint. 0030-0230Z Wed (Tues
night local date). 20, 40, 80M CW. Maximum power 5W. Exchange: RST +
SPC + NAQCC# or power. Double your score for using a hand key and 1 1/2
times your score for using a bug.
15. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night local date. 0230-0259Z Wed. 15,
20, 40, 80, 160M SSB. 100W maximum power. No QSY rule. Exchange: Name
+ SPC. Use your logging program's module for NAQP SSB.
16. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday. See #1 above.
Hope everyone has a great week and weekend and a lot of QSOs, especially
in the GA QSO PARTY. 73, John, K4BAI.
