This Week's Contests:

The big one this weekend is the NCJ North American QSO Party. For CW
Teams right now, I have W5JR, WH6YH, NM2L, and NN4K. We need one more
for a full team and I'd love to have more than one team. You do not
need to be full time. You do not need to be a member of SECC. You do
not need to be in any particular geographic area. Invite your friends
to participate with us. Just let me know ASAP as I will register the
team(s) late Friday or early Saturday. KU8E, N4PN, and I will be at
WW4LL M/2. So, we plan to have stations on two bands all for the full
12 hours. Feel free to ask what frequency we are using on another band.
Multipliers count per band, so we hope to work you all on all six
bands. IF you want to be on a GCG team, e-mail N4PN. If you want to be
on an ACG team, e-mail WA1FCN. WA1FCN and I are also getting up teams
for NAQP SSB in two weeks, so please let me know if you would like to
join N4EWT on a team for NAQP SSB.

1. NCJ North American QSO Party, CW. 1800Z Sat to 0600Z Sun. 10 hours
maximum time for single ops. 160-10M CW. Exchange: Name + SPC for NA
stations. Name only for DX outside NA. Team competition also.

2. QRP Fox Hunt. Thursday night local date. 0100-0230Z Friday. 20
meters. Two QRP foxes will be hiding between 14050 and 14070 kHz. 5W
maximum power. Work only the two foxes and do not spot their
frequencies. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. The foxes this week are
W1ZT, GEO, MA and NK6A, DON, CA. These two should be relatively easy
from GA.

3. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Thursday night local date. 0145Z to 0215Z
Friday. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W maximum power. One/one kHz
QSY rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Same band duplicate
QSOs OK after one intervening QSO. Look around 080 kHz and up from 1805
kHz.

4. NCCC NS Sprint. Thursday night local date. 0230-0259Z. 15, 20,
40, 80, 160M CW. 100W maximum power. One/one kHz QSY rule. Exchange:
both calls, #, name, SPC. No same band duplicate QSOs permitted. Look
around 040 kHz and up from 1815 kHz.

5. TARA Grid Dip Shindig. 24 hours of Saturday UTC. 160-6M PSK, RTTY.
Exchange: Name + 4 character grid square. Work everyone.

6. 10-10 International Club Summer Contest, SSB. 0001Z Sat to 2359Z
Sun. 10 meters SSB. Exchange: Name + 10-10# (or say "0" if you don't
have one) + SPC.

7. This one is for information only as only European stations count.
European HF Championship. 1200-2359Z Sat. 160-10M CW, SSB. Exchange:

8. South African Radio League HF Phone Contest. 1300-1630Z Sunday. 80,

9. North American QRP CW Club Monthly CW Sprint. 0030-0230Z Wed (Tues
night local date). 20, 40, 80M CW. 5w max power. Exchange: RST + SPC

if you use a bug.

10. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night local date. 0230-0259Z Wed. 15,
20, 40, 80, 160M SSB. 100W maximum power. No QSY rule. Exchange: Name

separate one-hour mini-tests. 1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday UTC date).

Hope everyone has a nice weekend and makes a lot of QSOs, particularly
in NAQP CW. Let's have a good turnout from our area whether or not you
are on a team. 73, John, K4BAI.
