1. QRP Fox Hunt. Second week of Summer Session. 20M, 14050 to 14070
kHz. 0100-0230Z Friday (Thursday night local date). Two QRP Foxes will
be hiding, N0UR, Jim in MN, and myself, John in GA. Maximum power 5
watts. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. Work only the two foxes and
do not spot the foxes' frequencies.
2. NCCC RTTY Sprint. 0145Z to 0215Z Friday (Thursday night local
date). 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W maximum power. One/one kHz QSY
rule. Exchange: Both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 080 kHz and up
from 1805 kHz.
3. NCCC NS Sprint. 0230Z to 0259Z Friday (Thusday night local date).
15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W maximum power. One/one kHz QSY rule.
Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 040 kHz and up from
1815 kHz.
4. FISTS Summer Sprint. 0000-0400Z Saturday (Friday night local date).
80-10M CW. 100W maximum power. Exchange: RST + SPC + Name + FISTS#
or power. No speed limit on this one.
5. IARU HF World Championship. This is the big international contest
of the Summer. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 160-10M CW, Phone. Exchange:
RST + ITU zone # or IARU society abbreviation for country HQ stations.
Most of you receiving this message are in ITU zone 08.
6. Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon. 1200Z Sat to 2400Z
Sunday, with a maximum of 24 hours. Use a mechanical key only.
Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, SKCC# or "NONE."
7. CQC Great Colorado Gold Rush. Colorado QRP Club sponsors this two
hour sprint on Sunday afternoon, 2000Z to 2159Z on 20 meters CW only.
Rules have been changed this year. You may work each station only once.
Exchange: RST + SPC + Class + CQC# or power. Classes are: W (wire),
V (vertical), B (beam), P (portable). Bonus points for QSOs with W0CQC
and N0CQC. 5 watts maximum power.
8. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday. 0230-0259Z every Wednesday UTC date.
100W maximum power. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160 M SSB. Exchange: Name + SPC.
You can use your logging program's module for NAQP SSB and it will log
and figure the score correctly.
9. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday. 1300Z, 1900Z, and 0300Z
(Thursday UTC date). 160-10M CW. Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC. Look
around 027 to 042 kHz on most bands.
