separate one-hour mini-tests.  1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday local 
date).  160-10M CW.  Exchange:  Name + CWOps# or SPC.l  Look around 038 
to 045 kHz and 1815-1825 kHz.

2.  NCCC RTTY Sprint.  Each Thursday.  0145-0215Z Friday UTC date.  15, 
20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY.  100W maximum power.  Exchange:  both calls, #, 
name, SPC.  Mults count per band.  One/one kHz QSY rule.  Same band 
dupes OK after one intervening QSO.  Look around 080 kHz and up from 
1805 kHz.

3.  NCCC NS Sprint.  Each Thursday.  0230-0300Z Friday UTC date.  15, 
20, 40, 80, 160M CW.  100W maximum power. Exchange:  both calls, #, 
name, SPC.  Mults count per band.  One/one kHz QSY rule.  No same band 
dupes permitted.  Look around 040 kHz and up from 1815 kHz.

4.  Makrothen RTTY Contest.  0000-0759Z Sat; 1600-2359Z Sat, 0800-1559Z 
Sun.  80-10M RTTY.  Exchange:  4-character grid square.

5.  Oceania DX Contest, CW.  0800Z Sat to 0800Z Sun.  160-10M CW. 
Exchange:  RST + serial #.

6.  Scandinavia Activity Contest, SSB.  1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun.  80-10M 
SSB.  Exchange:  RS + serial #.  Look for OH2BH and friends as OH0B.

7.  Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon.  1200Z Sat to 2400Z 
Sun.  Maximum operating time:  24 hours.  160-6M CW.  Use mechanical key 
only.  Exchange:  RST + SPC + Name + CWOps# or "NONE."  Look up from 
1815, 3550, 7060, 14050, 21050, 28050 kHz.

8.  Arizona QSO Party.  1600Z Sat to 0600Z Sunday; 1400-2300Z Sunday. 
160-2M Cw, Ph, Dig.  Exchange:  serial # + SPC or "AZ" + AZ county.

9.  Pennsylvania QSO Party.  1600Z Sat to 0500Z Sun; 1300-2200Z Sun. 
160=2M CW, Phone, PSK, RTTY.  Exchange:  serial # + ARRL/RAC Section or 
PA county.  Bonus points for each QSO with W3UU.

10.  FISTS CW Club Fall Unlimited Sprint.  1700-2100Z Sat.  80-10M CW. 
Max power 100W.  Exchange:  RST + SPC + Name + FISTS # or power.

11.  North American Sprint, SSB.  0000-0400Z Sun (Sat night local date). 
  20, 40, 80M SSB.  Exchange:  both calls, #, name, SPC.  One/five kHz 
QSY rule.  THERE IS A TEAM COMPETITION.  Teams can be between two and 
five members.  I always want to be on a team for this one, but I will be 
unable to operate in this one this year.  If you'd like to be on a team 
for this one, please e-mail me right away and let me know what power you 
will be running (HP, LP, QRP) and whether you will be full or part time. 
  I can register the team(s) as late as Saturday morning.

12.  10-10 International Club 10-10 Day Contest.  24 hours of Monday 
UTC.  10M all modes.  Exchange:  name + 10-10# (or "o") + SPC.  If any 
of the rest of you get Columbus Day off and if ten meters is open, this 
could be a fun contest.  10M was open well at times last weekend.

13.  North American QRP CW Club October Sprint.  0030-0230Z Wed UTC date 
(Tuesday night local date).  20, 40, 80M CW.  5W max power.  Double your 
score for use of a hand key and 1 1/2 score for use of a bug.  This 
week, NAQCC will be celebrating its anniversary and members will be 
signing N1A through N0A.  It would be fun to see if you can work all ten 
of the anniversary stations in the sprint.  N4A will be operated by 
K4BAI.  Look around 14060, 7030 or 7040, and 3560 kHz.

14.  Phone Fray. Every Tuesday local date.  0230-0259Z Wed.  15, 20, 40, 
80, 160M SSB.  100W maximum power.  Exchange:  Name + SPC.  Mults count 
per band.  No QSY rule.  Look around 21375, 14250, 7175, 3800, and 1865 kHz.

15.  CWT. Every Wed. See #1 above.

Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and that we are all spared 
damage from Hurrican Andrew.  Remember to avoid emergency and welfare 
traffic net frequencies.  Make as many QSOs as you can and report them 
to 3830 or directly to me.  Let me know if you can be on a team for
