This Week's Contests:
1. NAQCC Milliwatt Sprint. Tuesday night local date. See last week's
report or WA7BNM Contest Calendar for details.
2. QRP Fox Hunt 40M. Tuesday night local date Wed UTC. 0200-0330Z.
Two foxes, N7CQR, DAN, OR and KV2X, TOM, NY will be hiding between 7030
and 7050 kHz. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. Work only the two
foxes and do not spot their frequencies. 5W max power.
3. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday local date.
4. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Three separate one-hour mini-tests every
Wed local date.
5. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday night local date.
6. NCCC NS Sprint. Every Thursday night local date.
7. QRP Fox Hunt 80M. Same as #2 above except frequencies are 3550 to
3570 and the foxes are N7CQR DAN OR and WX2S STEVE NJ. There will be no
QRP Fox Hunts next week due to Christmas.
8. RAEM Contest. 0000Z-1159Z Sunday (starts Saturday night local
date). 80-10M CW. Exchange: serial # + latitude and longitude in
degrees. (East = O). This is a challenging contest exchange, but is
very interesting. Most of the activity we can hear in the US is on 80
and 40M. Possibly some 20M during the wee hours of the morning until it
ends just about sunup here. I think you can get lat and long for your
FCC address from QRZ.com.
9. SKCC Decmeber Week Day Sprint. 0000-0200Z Wed (Tuesday night local
date). Use mechanical key. 160-6M CW. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name,
SKCC# or "NONE."
10. The usual Phone Fray and CWTs will be held during Christmas week
and also I think the same for the NCCC sprints on Thursday night.
I assume, without having checked yet, that the Stew Perry and the RAC
Canada Winter Contest will be the weekend after Christmas.
Very best wishes of the Season to all of you and your families.
73, John, K4BAI
