This Week's Contests:

This weekend, April 13 and 14, will be the annual Georgia QSO Party. I
hope you will all be able to be QRV for some of the contest. Jeff,
KU8E, and I will be QRV MO mobile in many GA counties as W4AN/M,
probably all CW. There will be other mobiles QRV too. Please help us
continue our tradition of putting on one of the best county contests in
the US. Details below.

1. North American QRP CW Club April Sprint. 0030-0230Z Wed (Tues night
local date). 20, 40, 80M CW. 5W max power. Exchange: RST, SPC,
NAQCC# or power. If you use a hand key, multiply your score by two. If
you use a bug, multiply by 1 1/2. There is always a lot of activity in
this one and a lot of fun for all. Look around 14060, 7030-7040, and 3560.

2. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday night local date. 0230-0259Z Wed. 15,
20, 40, 80, 160M SSB. 100W max power. Exchange: Name + SPC. Mults
count per band. Use your logging program's module for NAQP SSB. Look
around 21325, 14250, 7175, 3800, 1875 kHz.

3. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday local date. 1300Z,
1900Z Wed and 0300Z Thurs. Three separate one-hour mini-tests. 160-10M
CW. Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC. Look around 027 to 047 kHz on
each band and lower on 160M.

4. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday local date. 0145-0215Z Friday.
15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W max power. Exchange: both calls, #,
name, SPC. Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO. Look around
080 kHz on the higher bands and up from 1805 kHz on 160M.

5. NCCC NS Sprint. Every Thursday local date. 0230Z-0259Z Friday. 15,
20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W max power. Exchange: both calls, #, name,
SPC. No same band dupes allowed. Look around 040 kHz on the higher
bands and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.

6. Japan International DX Contest, CW. 0700Z Sat to 1300Z Sun. 160-10M
CW. Exchange: RST + CQ zone # or JA Prefecture #.

7. Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon. 1200Z Sat to 2400Z
Sun. 160-6M CW. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, SKCC# or "NONE." Use a
mechanical key. Bonus points for Easter Egg stations who will include
"EE" in their exchange. Do not give out their calls or frequencies
until 2000Z Sunday and there are no restrictions after that time.

8. OK/OM DX Contest, SSB. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 160-10M SSB.
Exchange: RS + werial # or 3 letter OK/OM county code.

9. FT8 DX Contest. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun. 80-10M FT8. 100W max
power. Exchange: RST + S/P or serial # for stations outside US/VE.

10. New Mexico QSO Party. 1400Z Sat to 0200Z Sun. 160-6M CW, Ph, Dig.
Exchange: Name + SPC or NM county.

11. Texas State Parks on the Air. 1400Z Sat to 0200Z Sun; 1400-2000Z
Sun. All bands except WARC any mode. Exchange: RS(T) + S/P/DX or TX
State Park Designation.

12. GEORGIA QSO PARTY. 1800Z Sat to 2359Z Sun; 1400Z to 2359Z Sun.
160-6M, CW, Ph. Exchange: RS(T) + S/P/DX or GA county. GA stations
working other GA stations log the county abbreviations, not "GA." GA
mobile stations are the same as a new station in each county they
operate from. There are club aggregate score competitions (not
including the sponsoring clubs, SECC and SEDXC). So, if you are a
member of SECC or SEDXC and also a local club, put your local club name
in the Cabrillo header after "CLUB:". W4AN/M, the SECC club call, will
be QRV with KU8E and K4BAI swapping off driving and operating. We will
be trying to cover the counties not committed to by others. The routes
and counties can be seen on the GQP website.

13. North Dakota QSO Party. 18000Z Sat to 1800Z Sun. 160-2M CW, Ph,
Dig (No FT8). Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or ND County.

14. Yuri Gagarin International DX Contest. 2100Z Sat to 2100Z Sun.
160-10M + satellites. CW mode. Exchange: RST + ITU zone number.

15. ARRL Rookie Roundup, SSB. 1800Z to 2359Z Sunday. 80-6M SSB. 100W
max power. Exchange: Name + 2 digit year first licensed. Non rookies
work only rookies for credit.

16. 4 States QRP Group Second Sunday Sprint. 160-10M CW, SSB. 5W
maximum power. Exchange: RS(T) + SPC + 4S# or power.

17. 222 mHz Spring Sprint. 1900-2300 local time Tuesday. 222 mHz any
mode. Exchange: 4 character grid square.

18. Phone Fray. Every Tuesday.

19. CWTs. Every Wed.

Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and a lot of QSOs. Please be
QRV in the GA QSO Party to the extent you can be. GA stations may want
to keep this summary handy so you can give the NM and ND stations and
possibly other contesters what they need for their contests while asking
them for RST and SPC. Thanks. 73, John, K4BAI.
