1. NCCC RTTY Sprint. 0145Z to 0215Z every Friday (Thursday night local
date). 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY
rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Same band dupes Ok after
one intervening QSO. Look around 082 kHz up from bottom of bands and up
from 1805 kHz on 160M.
2. NCCC NS Ladder Sprint. Last night of this sprint series. Good time
to practice for North American Sprint CW which is this Saturday night
local date. 0230-0259Z every Friday (Thursday night local date). 15,
20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY rule. Exchange:
both calls, #, name, SPC. No same band duper permitted. Look around
040-046 kHz and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.
3. Worked All Europe DX Contest, SSB. 48 hours of weekend UTC. 80-10M
SSSB. 36 hours maximum for single ops. Exchange: RS + QSO #. You can
send up to 10 QTC to each European station for extra points. A QTC is
time, call, # receive for previous QSOs. Send each QTC only once. There
is a club aggregate score competition, so put your club name in the
Cabrillo header of your log. (For SECC is should be "South East Contest
Club."
4. FOC QSO Party (or Bill Windle QSO Party). Open to everyone. 24
hours of Saturday UTC. 160-10M CW. Exchang: RST + Name + FOC# if you
have one. Look around 015 to 035 kHz on the bands.
5. Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon. 1200Z Sat to 2400Z
Sunday (max 24 hours of operation). 160-6M CW. Exchange: RST + SPC +
Name + SKCC# (or "NONE"). Use a mechanical key (hand key, bug, cootie,
etc) Bonus points for QSOs with KS1KCC, other KS#KCC calls and any club
call which has a SKCC number.
6. Texas QSO Party. 1400Z Sat to 0200Z Sun; 1400-2000Z Sun. Exchange:
RS(T) + SPC or TX county. Bonus points for multple QSOs with TX
mobiles (see rules). All bands except WARC + 60M any modes.
7. Alabama QSO Party. 1500Z Sat to 0300Z Sun. 80-10M CW, Ph.
Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or AL county. W4AN/M will be QRV for the first
six or seven hours with K4BAI and KU8E operating. Other mobile
operations are also planned including K4ZGB/M.
8. Russian Cup Digital Contest (RTTY). 1500Z to 1859Z Sat and
0600-0959Z Sun. 80-10M RTTY. Exchange: serial # + 4 character grid
square.
9, ARRL September VHF Contest. 1800Z Sat to 0300Z Mon. 50 mHz and up.
exchange: 4 character grid square. any mode.
10. NCJ North American Sprint Contest, CW. 0000-0400Z Sun (Sat night
local date). 20, 40, 80M CW. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC.
Five/one kHz QSY rule. Teams of two to five members may be pre
registered. For a South East Sprint Coalition team, e-mail KU8E at ku8e
(at)ku8e.com.
11. 4 States QRP Group Second Sunday Sprint. 0000-0200Z Monday (Sunday
night local date). 160-10M CW/SSB. 5W max power CW, 10W max power SSB.
Exchange: RS(T) + SPC + 4S# or power. Most activity seems to be on
CW on or about 14060, 7122, and 3564 khz.
12. NEW THIS WEEK. K1USN Slow Speed Test. 20, 40, 80M CW. Max speed
20 WPM. 0000-0100Z Monday (Sunday night local date). Exchange: Name +
SPC. Call is "CQ SST." Suggested frequencies: 032 to 039 kHz on each
band.
13. World Wide Side Band Activity Contest. Every Tuesday 0100-0159Z.
160-6M SSB (Monday night local date). Exchange: Name + Age/Gender
group (OM, YL, Youth, Youth YL).
14. Phone Fray. Every Wednesday 0230-0259Z (Tuesday night local date).
15, 20, 40, 80, 160M SSB. 100W max power. Exchange: Name + SPC. You
can use your NAQP SSB contest module. Mults count per band. Suggested
frequencies: 21325, 14250, 7175, 3800, 1875 kHz.
15. CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday local date. Three
separate one-hour mini-tests. 1300Z, 1900Z, 0300Z (Thursday UTC date).
160-10M CW. Exchange: name + CWOps# or SPC. Look around 023 to 052
kHz on the higher bands and lower on 160M.
16. North American QRP CW Club September Sprint. 5W max power. 20,
40, 80M CW. 0030-0230Z Thursday (Wednesday night local date). Exchange:
RST + SPC + NAQCC# or power. Double your score if you use a hand key
and 1 1/2 times your score for use of a bug or cootie.
Something for almost everyone this weekend. Hope everyone has a nice
