This Week's Contests:
1. CWOps Club CWT Tests. Every Wed/Thurs. Four separate one-hour
tests. 1300Z and 1900Z Wed. 0300 and 0700Z Thursday. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC. Look around 023 to 052 kHz on the
higher bands and 1815 kHz up on 160M.
2. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday night local date. 0145-0215Z
Friday. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY
rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Look around 080-090 kHz on
the higher bands and up from 1805 kHz on 160M. Same band dupes OK after
one intervening QSO.
3. NCCC NS Sprint. Every Thursday night local date, 0230-0259Z Friday.
15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY rule.

4. Zombie Shuffle. 1600 local time to 2400 local time Friday. 80-15M

area code. You can work the same station again after a two hour
interval. Bonus stations will be sending their Zombie numbers as
"2021." You are encouraged to make up a name with some ghosty meaning.
Maybe I will use the name "Edwin" for Edwin Booth, the famous 19th
century actor who is rumored to haunt our local Springer Theatre. My
Zombie number is 986. The call is "CQ BOO." Rules and scoring are
complicated, so read the rules and use the scoring aids available on the
website.
5. K1USN Slow Speed Test (SST). 2000-2100Z Friday. 160-10M CW. Max
speed 20 WPM. Exchange: Name + SPC. Look around 029 to 050 kHz on
each band except around 1820 kHz on 160M. You can use your NAQP CW
contest module, but you should add any country mults worked from outside
North America.
6. CQ World Wide DX Contest, SSB. 48 hours of Sat/Sun UTC. 160-10M
SSB. Exchange: RS + CQ Zone number. There is a club aggregate score
competition so be sure to show your club name in the header of your
Cabrillo that you submit to the CQ DX website. If SECC is your club,
show it as: "South East Contest Club."
7. K1USN Slow Speed Test (SST). 0000-0100Z Monday (Sunday night local
date). See #5 above.
8. Adventure Radio Society Spartan Sprint. 0100-0300Z Tuesday (Monday

9. CWOps Club CWTs. See #1 above.
Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend.
SECC is having an emphasis this year on the club aggregate score
competition for the ARRL November Sweepstakes. The CW weekend is the
first weekend in November and SSB is the third weekend in November. If
you are not already a SECC member and would like to join and help us
seek the top Medium Sized Club gavel, please go to the South East
Contest Club home page and follow the instructions and join. If you
will also follow the instructions and sign up for the SECC reflector,
you will receive this weekly report by way of the SECC reflector. That
will relieve me from typing in your e-mail address every week. SECC
welcomes all who like to contest and would like to be in a contest club.
The smaller ARRL circle governs club participation in this contest.
You will find this circle on the SECC home page. You must live inside
and operate inside the circle to count for the club aggregate score
competition. If you join between now and Sweepstakes, please send an
e-mail to ku8e at ku8e.com to include your 6 digit Grid Square. (You can
find your 6 digit grid square usually under "Detail" under your call on
www.qrz.com.) We will need to be sure you are on the ARRL eligible list.
73, John, K4BAI for SECC.
