1. NCCC RTTY Sprint. Every Thursday night local date. 0145-0215Z
Friday. 15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY. Maximum power 100W. One/one kHz
QSY rule. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Same band dupes OK
after one intervening QSO. Look around 080-090 kHz on the higher bands
and up from 1805 kHz on 160M.
2. QRP Fox Hunt 80M. 0200-0330Z Friday (Thursday night local date).
Two QRP Foxes (WX2S, STEVE, NJ and K9CW, DREW IL) will be calling
between 3550 and 3570 kHz. Maximum power 5W. Exchange: RST, SPC,
Name, Power. Work only the two foxes and do not spot their frequencies.
3. NCCC NS Sprint. Every Thursday night local date. 0230-0259Z Friday.
15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW. 100W max power. One/one kHz QSY rule.
Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. No same band dupes permitted. Look
around 040-045 kHz on the higher bands and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.
4. K1USN Slow Speed Test (SST). 2000-2100Z Friday. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: Name + SPC. Mults count per band. Maximum speed: 20 WPM.
Look around 929 to 053 kHz on the higher bands and around 1820 kHz on 160M.
5. YB (Indonesia) RTTY Contest. 0000-2359Z Saturday. 80-10M RTTY.
Exchange: RST + serial #.
6. For information only: RSGB Commonwealth Contest (BERU). This is
open only to stations in the British Commonwealth, which we left in
1776. 80-10M CW. They will send RST + serial #. Don't call them
unless they are old friends who might want to hear from you. We don't
count for them in their closed contest.
7. Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon (WES). 1200Z Sat to
2400Z Sun. 24 hours maximum operating time. Use a mechanical key
(straight key, bug, cootie, etc). Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, SKCC# or
"NONE." Bonus points: 5 bonus points for each QSO where the other
station is using a bug or cootie. I assume they will tell us by sending
name/bug or something like that.
8. South American 10-Meter Contest. 10M CW, SSB. Exchange: RS(T) +
CQ Zone. 1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun.
9. Stew Perry Top Band Distance Challenge. 1500Z Sat to 1500Z Sun.
maximum 14 hours of operation. 160M CW. Exchange: 4-digit grid square.
10. Oklahoma QSO Party. 1500Z Sat to 0200Z Sun; 1500-2100Z Sun. 80-6M
CW, Ph, Dig (only PSK/RTTY). Exchange: RS(T) + SPC or OK county.
Suggested frequencies: CW: up 40 kHz. SSB: 3805, 7195, 14250, 21335,
28470, 50130. Fixed stations on CW should CQ above 040 kHz and mobiles
below 040 kHz.
11. Tesla Memorial HF CW Contest. 1800Z Sat to 0559Z Sun. 40 and 80M
CW only. Exchange: RST + serial # + 4 digit grid square.
12. Idaho QSO Party. 1900Z Sat to 1900Z Sun. 160-10M CW, Phone,
Digital (No FT8). Exchange: SPC or ID county. Suggested frequencies:
Up 035 kHz on CW. SSB: 3855, 7260, 14260, 21335, 28470.
13. NCJ North American Sprint, RTTY. 2300Z Sat to 0300Z Sun. 20, 40,
80M RTTY. Exchange: both calls, #, name, SPC. Five/one kHz QSY rule.
There is a team competition. If anyone wants to be on a team for SECC,
please e-mail me right away and I will register the team or teams before
the sprint starts.
14. Wisconsin QSO Party. 1800Z Sun to 0100Z Mon. All bands except
WARC and 60M. CW, Ph, Dig (No FT4/8). Exchange: SPC or WI county. 100
bonus points for each non duplicate QSO with W9FK. Suggested
frequencies: 1820 kHz and up 050 kHz on the higher bands. SSB: 1870,
3860, 7230, 14260, 21350, 28400, 50140 khz.
15. 4 States QRP Group Second Sunday Sprint. 0000-0200Z Mon. (Sunday
Night local date). 160-10M CW/SSB. Max power CW: 5W. SSB: 10W.
Exchange: RST, SPC, 4S# or power. The only activity I hear is on CW
and or or near 7122 and 3564 kHz. If 20M is open, there could be some
activity on 14060 and possibly 7040.
16. K1USN Slow Speed Test (SST). 0000-0100Z Mon (Sunday night local
date). See #4 above. Note that N1MM+ logger now has a regular contest
module for this one and it is not necessary to download a UDC module.
17. QRP Fox Hunt 40M Tuesday night local date. 0100-0230Z Wed. Two
QRP Foxes (WB4OMM, STEVE, FL and N9AW, JERRY, WI) will be QRV between
7030 and 7050 kHz. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. 5W max power. Work
only the two foxes and don't spot their frequencies.
18. A1 Club AWT Contest. Each Wed, 1200-1300Z. 160-10M CW. Exchange:
RST + Name. Lots of Japanese stations QRV, but you can work anybody.
Exchange: RST + Name. Activity has been mostly on 80 and 40M, but QSOs
from US to JA were reported on 20M also last week.
19. CWOps Club CWT Tests. Four separate one-hour tests every
Wed/Thurs. 1300Z and 1900Z Wed. 0300Z and 0700Z Thurs. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: Name + CWOps# or SPC. Look around 025 to 054 kHz on the
higher bands and up from about 1820 kHz on 160M.
20. North American QRP CW Club March Sprint. 0030-0230Z Thurs (Wed
night local date). 20, 40, 80M CW. 5W max power. Exchange: RST, SPC,
NAQCC# or power. Multiply your score by 2 for use of a straight key and
by 1 1/2 if you use a bug or cootie.
Don't forget to set your local time clocks forward one hour Sunday
morning (at 2 AM!). Most contests will stay on the same UTC times, but
a few (QRP Fox Hunts, NAQCC Sprint, and I think the 4S QRP Sprint will
change Z time and stay on the same local time.
