Friday. 100W power limit. 5/1 kHz QSY rule. Exchange: both calls, #,
name, SPC. Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO. Look between
080 and 090 kHz on the upper bands and up from 1805 kHz on 160M.
2. QRP Fox Hunt 40M. Two QRP Foxes (NC4RT, Randy, NC and K9IUA, Kevin,
IA) will be calling between 3550 and 3570 kHz. 5W maximum power.
Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. Work only the two foxes and do not
spot their frequencies.
3. NCCC NS Sprint. Every Thursday night local date. 0230-0259Z Friday.
100W power limit. One/5 kHz QSY rule. Exchange: both calls, #,
name, SPC. No same band dupes permitted. Look between 040 and 046 kHz
on the upper bands and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.
4. KRC K1USN Slow Speed Test (SST). 2000-2100Z Fridays. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: Name + SPC. Mults (SPC) count per band. 20 WPM max speed.
Look between 029 and 049 kHz on the upper bands and lower on 160M.
5. Marconi Club ARI Loano QSO Party. 0700Z to 2100Z Saturday. 80, 40,
20M CW. Exchange: RST + "MC" + MC # if you are a MC member. If not,
the exchange is RST + serial #.
6. Straight Key Century Club Weekend Sprintathon. 1200Z Sat to 2400Z
Sun. 24 hour max operating time. Use a mechanical key. Exchange: RST,
SPC, Name, SKCC# or "NONE." 160 and 80M SKCC QSOs are 5 bonus points
each. 160-6M CW. Look around 050 to 065 kHz and the higher bands and
around 1820 kHz on 160M.
7. World Wide Peace Messenger Cities Contest (WWPMC). 1200Z Sat to
1200Z Sun. 160-10M CW, SSB. Exchange: RS(T) + PMC abbreviation (such
as "ATL" for Atlanta) or, if you are not in a PMC RS(T) + CQ zone
number. Atlanta is a Peace Messenger City. If you live in Atlanta or
belong to an Atlanta radio club, you may send "ATL" and give more points
or mults to those you work.
8. ARRL RTTY Round Up. 1500Z Sat to 2400Z Sun. 80-10M RTTY. Max
operating time 24 hours. Exchange: RST + S/P or serial # for stations
outside US and VE.
9. KRC K1USN Slow Speed Test (SST). 0000-0100Z Monday (Sunday night
local date). See #4 above.
10. 4 States QRP Group Second Sunday Sprint. 0100-0300Z Monday (Sunday
night local date). 160-10M CW, SSB. max power CW 5W, SSB 10W.
Exchange: RST + SPC + FP# or power. Most activity seems to be around
14060, 7123, and 3564 kHz. No one ever reports any SSB QSOs.
11. ICWC Medium Speed Tests (MST). Every Monday/Tuesday. Three
separate one-hour tests. 25 WPM max speed. 160-10M CW. Exchange: Name
+ serial #. 1300Z and 1900Z Monday and 0300Z Tuesday.
12. QRP Fox Hunt 40M. Tuesday night local date, 0200-0330Z Wed. Two
foxes are to be WD4CFN, STEVE, TN and KR0U, TIM, CO. Frequency range
is 7030 to 7050 kHz. Exchange: RST, SPC, Name, Power. Work only the
two foxes and do not spot their frequencies.
13. CWOps Club CWT tests. Every Wed/Thur. Four separate one-hour
tests. 1300Z and 1900Z Wed. 0300 and 0700Z Thurs. 160-10M CW.
Exchange: Name + CWOPS# or SPC. Look around 023 to 052 kHz on each
band except around 1820 kHz on 160M.
Hope everyone has a nice week and weekend and a lot of QSOs. K4AB and
K4BAI will be QRV throughout the month of January as N4W a special event
station for WRTC2022, which is to be held this coming July in Italy.
Many other special event stations are also QRV and you may work each
station again every day.
On this Monday night, SECC will have one of its semi monthly Zoom
meetings. This is at 7:30 PM EST. Informal meeting starts at 7 PM. If
you are on the SECC reflector, you have received an e-mail with the log
in information. If not, please ask AA5JF or AE4Y and they will be glad
to send you the log in information. SECC welcomes any contesters in our
area and we would be delighted if some prospective members join in the
meeting. The subject matter will be portable contesting such as for
counties in state QSO parties, Grid Squares in VHF and UHF contests, and
maybe POTA or SOTA too.
