Not in ARRL contests. There's a specific remote receiver exemption for
spotting nets in ARRL general rule 3.7. An individual using a remote
receiver can feed spots to a packet cluster, which can then by used by
stations in the Assisted and Multiop categories. A copy of Skimmer can be
setup to feed spots into a packet cluster.
I'm not expressing an opinion one way or another, but would like to hear why
this use of a remote receiver should be treated differently than when the
remote receiver is used for traditional packet spotting?
