The version history in the Skimmer help file is pretty cursory.  For 
example, for 1.4 it only mentions support for the Mercury SDR.  From what 
Alex told me, the only other significant changes are the validation 
improvements and addition of Telnet commands to start and stop skimming, 
intended to help remote operators.  That's about it.
