It also depends a little on the rf environment, if you have a lot of
squirgles and birdies and you use a wide rx bandwidth that all adds to
processor load. By experimentation here I also believe high processor load
impacts decoder accuracy to some extent.
If you want multi band high bandwidth decoding +and+ use the pc for other
tasks at the same time you do need a fair bit of cpu horsepower.
IMHO Skimmer should be on its own dedicated pc as that relaxes the
requirement a little.
