Oh, and one further thought. You're exactly right to wonder if maybe
the sent CW is at fault. One station told us recently that he had
discovered that he was being mis-spotted a lot with the last letter of
his call appended to the front of the next iteration - like RN4ZR
instead of N4ZR. He is adding a partial space between the two
iterations to try to fix that in the next go-round.
