For those interesting in testing the performance of their PCs with RTTY
Skimming, there's a good opportunity this weekend, at least in North
America. The popular NAQP RTTY Contest starts at 1800z Saturday July 15th
and ends 12 hours later (0600z Sunday).

For those running RTTY Skimmer, be sure your *Contests.ini* file contains
the following lines:

[NAQP]
;Chad WE9V: covers names from 2 letters up to 6 letters, and 2 letter state
;may need to include more than 2 letters for DX QTH?
CQ1=CQ|0.25
CQ2=TEST|0.25
CQ3=QRZ|0.1
CQ4=NAQP|0.25
CQ5=NA|0.1
CQ6=CQNA|0.05
Exchange1=<~@@~@@>|0.1
Exchange2=<~@@@~@@>|0.1
Exchange3=<~@@@@~@@>|0.1
Exchange4=<~@@@@@~@@>|0.1
Exchange5=<~@@@@@@~@@>|0.1
Exchange12=@@~@@@~@@@~@@|0.1
Exchange13=@@~@@@@~@@@@~@@|0.1
Exchange14=@@~@@@@@~@@@@@~@@|0.1
Exchange15=@@~@@@@@@~@@@@@@~@@|0.1

And then in *RttySkimServ.ini*, use:

[Skimmer]
Contest=NAQP

to select it.

On Windows 7 and later, both of these files are located in

%appdata%\Afreet\Products\RttySkimServ\

(%appdata% is a Windows environment variable that takes you to the right
place based on your Windows id).

On Windows XP, *RttySkimServ.ini* is in the *C:\Program
Files\Afreet\RttySkimServ\* directory, and *Contests.ini* is in the
%appdata% directory listed above.

73,
Bob, N6TV
